Made from brocade and trimmed in gold silk hand appliqued. Bodice and skirt are lined. Fore-sleeves are made up of silk and embellished with beads. Dress is worn with a corset beneath. Dress made in November, 2006. |

Red, cotton velvet (about 8 yards) gown. Bodice inner-lined with wool flannel and bag lined in linen. Skirt lined with light weight cotton and garded in heavy black velvet. Sleeve forearms made from heavy black velvet, lined in silk, slashed and pinned to dress. Head piece made of silk brocade and sash made of silk and trimmed in brocade. Under the bodice is worn a corset of taffeta and canvas, stuffed with plastic boning and trimmed in gold braid. Made in August, 1999. |
