Inspiration and Photographs

Musing with my Embroidery

Embroidery is a slow art that emerges over time. My "bread and butter" is split stitch, which is probably hands-down the most tedious and the slowest technique I've experienced. However, I'm continually drawn to it in a lemming-like fashion. My other intersts are in techniques used to embellish Renaissance clothing and household linens.

These are photos of some of the projects I've done in recent years. I rarely keep my own work, so my photo files are scanty. All of these have been given away as gifts to friends who've inspired me.
