Pelican in its Piety

Completed June, 2003

The ground is silk taffeta. The body of the pelican is silk (single strand of 12-ply) and the piece was eventual couched to a black, wool garment and had gold twist laid on the border. This piece was done as a gift and tells a tale that's personal to the recipient.
